Malta represented at the Multicultural National Festival in Canberra

The city of Canberra, the national capital of Australia, comes alive when the National Multicultural Festival is held annually for three days between the 17 & 19 February in Gerema Place & Glebe Park in the centre of the city.

Canberrans can travel the world without leaving the city during this vibrant celebration of national diversity bringing together more than 170 unique communities, amongst them the Maltese, being part of the EU Village.

The Malta High Commission in Canberra represented Malta at this festival by organising a stall (see photograph) promoting Malta.

The EU Village at the Multicultural Festival was officially opened by Chief Minister of ACT Hon Andrew Barr and the Ambassador of EU to Australia H.E. Gabriele Visentin (see photograph). Behind them are the EU Ambassadors / High Commissioners, including H.E. Mario Farrugia Borg representing the Republic of Malta.
