Sr Grace Cini of the Franciscan sisters of the Heart of Jesus passed away in Adelaide S.A. on the morning of Saturday 10th February 2024, feast day of St Paul Shipwreck to Malta. She came to Warrawong, NSW Australia in 1964 and spent 53 years at the Warrawong Our Lady of Fatima convent then 5 years at the Port Kembla St Joseph convent.  Sr Grace was a primary teacher at St Francis of Assisi Catholic school in Warrawong, NSW.  She taught many of the post WWII migrant children and assisted many Maltese families to settle in Australia. A 50-year-old man who was wanted by the Italian authorities in order to serve a prison sentence was arrested in Mosta following weeks of investigations. Antonino Ciavarello was arrested on the strength of a European Arrest Warrant issued by the Italian authorities, police said. I could not believe what I was reading. So much is happening in Malta, most of it of top priority,  yet The Voice prioritises an unimportant controversy (for us, the Maltese community living abroad) resulting from two singing contests. I watched the final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, which was streamed on Malta's Television station, TVM, and was impressed with the talent of the Maltese singers.
